Large Goods Vehicle Category C (All Rigid Vehicles)

For anyone wishing to drive goods vehicles over 3500kgs this licence will enable successful candidates to drive any rigid vehicle with a small trailer. To qualify for this you must hold a full car licence and be medically fit and now you can learn to drive this vehicle from 18 years old.

Large Goods Vehicle Category C+E (Articulated Vehicles)

This licence is required to drive goods vehicles over 3500kgs with a trailer over 750kgs. Since January 1997 drivers are now required to pass Category C prior to taking a C+E course and test.

Additional Information

Having passed a medical and obtained a provisional licence your driving skills will need to be assessed. This is carried out by an experienced instructor who will supervise whilst you drive for approximately one hour on both public roads and our private manoeuvring area. Completion of this assessment will enable us to determine how much tuition is required to take you to test standard.

Courses are tailored to suit the individual e.g. intensive or hourly lessons. All training is usually carried out on a one-to-one basis in our modern fleet of vehicles.
