If you have never towed before, need to pass a test, or run a commercial fleet of trailers you should be looking for a professional course for every driver. If you're looking to tow a caravan, trailer, machinery or plant, boats or horse box we can provide all the necessary training.
If you passed your car driving test after January 1997, you now need to pass a separate test (licence category B + E) for towing a trailer or caravan weighing over 750kg M.A.M. (Maximum Authorised Mass). Most horse boxes, cattle trailers and caravans weigh this much unladen. The Trailer Towing Test (B + E) is based on the LGV driving test and includes all aspects of towing trailers as well as general on road techniques. In preparation for the test, our courses cover off-road manoeuvring and reversing, and un-loading and also securing the load.
